Starting this season, Alan Dedicoat, the announcer, introduces Harold Wheeler and his band, after the introduction of the remaining competitors. Dancing with the Stars is a reality show airing on ABC in the United States, and CTV in Canada in 2011.. ....."Dancing with the Stars" is a series that pairs a celebrity with a professional dance partner as they train and then compete in front of a studio audience in a televised dance competition. The pairs will be judged by a panel of experts and also by viewers at home, with one couple being eliminated each week.In each round of competition, each couple will demonstrate how well their training and rehearsing has paid off, by performing a choreographed routine. At the end of each performance, judges will give each couple a score. At the end of the broadcast, viewers will be instructed on how to call in and cast their vote for their favorite couple. In the results show the next day, one couple will be eliminated. Season 13 is shaping up to be hotter than ever with a few new twists to go with all those tangos. New this season is a feature called the “Ballroom Battle”. We’ve seen how well the pros dance and teach, but this season we’ll watch a couple trained by a pro go head-to-head with another pro’s couple....This season’s dynamic lineup of stars -- including a sitcom legend, a reality mega-star, a football champion and a pop music sensation – will perform for the first time on live national television with their professional partners during the two-hour season premiere of Dancing with the Stars, MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 16 (8:00-10:01 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. Dancing with the Stars returns for Season 17 and shakes things up by transitioning to a one night, two-hour format. The one-night extravaganza will feature competitive dance, dynamic group performances and musical guests, all while climaxing to a dramatic elimination. Each week viewers can vote for their favorite dancing performance and beginning with the second episode on Monday, September 23, one couple will be eliminated at the end of the show by combining the judges’ scores from that night, along with the public votes from the previous week.....Viewers may cast their votes for their favorite teams via phone on Monday nights during and up to 60 minutes after the end of the Dancing with the Stars broadcast in each time zone.
