Series Genl Info: The series was picked up for a full season by ABC on Novober 13, 2011.Emily Thorne (Emily VanCamp), whose real name is Amanda Clarke, moves back to The Hamptons to take revenge on the people who caused the death of her father David (James Tupper) and destroyed her family. When she was a little girl, Amanda's father was arrested on terrorism charges and tried for treason; her life was destroyed. She ended up in juvenile detention and on her 216th birthday inherited the wealth of the company her father invested in. She changed her name to Emily Thorne and decided to take revenge on the people responsible.In January 2011, ABC ordered the script to pilot. In March 2011, actress Emily VanCamp was cast as the lead character, Emily Thorne. Madeleine Stowe and Henry Czerny joined the cast as well. Max Martini and Robbie Amell will be joining the cast as Frank Saunders, a private investigator and Adam, a wealthy student who is hoping to attend Yale. Marc Blucas has been replaced by James Tupper for the role of Emily's father, after Blucas was forced to drop out due to his commitment on Necessary Roughness. Recurring Gossip Girl star Connor Paolo also cast as a series regular playing the character of Declan Porter.Former Nikita star Ashton Holmes has landed a recurring role as Tyler Barrol, a Harvard classmate of Daniel Grayson.....The Revenge "Sabotage" promo shows a jealous Aiden, an upset Victoria, an attack on Aiden and Helen in the elevator, and some Emily-Daniel romance.
