Series Genl Info: The series was created and executive produced by Pamela Eells O'Connell and stars Debby Ryan as Jessie, a small town Texas girl who moves to New York City and becomes a nanny to a high profile couple's four children played by Peyton List, Cameron Boyce, Karan Brar and Skai Jackson.On March 11, 2012, Disney announced that Jessie had been renewed for a second season and that a telefilm based on the series was in development.The series was created by Pamela Eells O'Connell who'd had previous experience with the "nanny" sitcom formula, starting her career as a writer on the series, Charles In Charge and serving as co-executive producer on The Nanny, before working with Debby Ryan on The Suite Life on Deck.O'Connell is said to have developed Jessie specifically to showcase Ryan's talent....Jessie (Debby Ryan) is an 18-year old girl from a rural Texas town who moves to New York City. She suddenly finds herself becoming the nanny of four children living in a multi-million dollar penthouse in a hotel after being pushed out of a taxi. One of the youngest children just asks her to be her nanny and now Jessie has to get them to get along by keeping them from fighting. One of the children has an imaginary friend and another has a pet water monitor lizard. Assisting her is Bertram, a mean and lazy butler, and Tony, a 20-year-old doorman who secretly likes Jessie....On March 28, 2013, the series was renewed for a third season, with production scheduled to resume in July 2013. The events in the show are primarily seen from the perspective of Tara Webster, a new student at the National Academy of Dance. She, along with fellow students Katrina Karamakov, Ethan Karamakov, Samuel Lieberman, Abigail Armstrong and Christian Reed, will learn the ins and outs of ballet. Series two will see Tara return to the Academy for her second year and the hope of representing Australia in the international ballet competition "Prix de Fonteyn". This series will introduce characters Grace Whitney and Ben Tickle, as well as a new teacher, Saskia Duncan.After a sudden tragedy, the Academy students must find a way to come together and help each other out in this time of darkness. Tara (Xenia Goodwin) is struggling to find her motivation as a dancer; and Abigail (Dena Kaplan) attempts to block her grief by immersing herself in a prestigious audition for a contemporary company tour.....At Sydney's National Dance Academy, a few talented youngsters are recruited for the excruciatingly tough course. Jewish long line of doctors' heir Samuel 'Sammy' and minor juvenile offender Christian are the outsiders but gradually fit in, making new kinds of friends. Star ballerina's daughter Kat also introduces them in the circle of last-year brother Ethan, who already aspires a career as choreographer.
